After taking part in extensive, hands-on career readiness workshops, students from Downey Unified School District’s Warren, Downey, and Columbus High Schools will embark on a paid work (from home) experience in Summer 2020. This will enable them to gain real-life 21st Century work experience while also adhering to the current “shelter in place” mandate. In 2019, 115 students were paired with 55 local employers including non-profits, The City of Downey, national companies, and small businesses.
